SITE LEAD MANAGER (BUCKHEAD)

The ideal candidate must be a team player, assertive and results driven.  He/she must be able to exercise initiative, problem-solving and decision-making to effectively plan, prioritize, and complete projects/tasks in a faced paced, changing environment.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

Operations

  • Develops proper clinical procedures that ensure patient safety, comfort, and quality.
  • Develops appropriate admission and discharge procedures and assures that pre-admission criteria are appropriately met.
  • Researches and prepares cost reduction proposals and implements them as applicable.
  • Evaluates ongoing patient care and reports significant patient issues to appropriate team members.

CLINICAL RESEARCH COORDINATOR:

Coordinates and administers research study associated activities. Assists in project planning, ensures that pre-established work scope, study protocol, and regulatory requirements are followed. Recruits and coordinates research subjects, as appropriate, and serves as principle administrative liaison for the project. Oversees and coordinates the provision of administrative and staff services to director the investigators; develops and maintains accurate record keeping systems and procedures.

CT TECHNOLOGIST

Job Summary:

The CT Technologist, under direct supervision, utilizes computerized tomography scanners to produce cross-section images of patient’s internal organs and tissues for diagnosis of medical issues.

Qualifications:

Education: Completion of a two year approved School of Radiologic Technology
Experience: One year full time experience as a CT Scan Technologist
Licensure: Valid state radiology registration as required by state law
Certification: Registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology Current CPR/BLS Certification, CT certification preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The CT Technologist is expected to practice safe procedures and adheres to radiation safety measures under the supervision of the Radiology supervisor or the Radiologist.
Specific duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Accurately interpret a physician’s scanning instructions
  • Administer contrast material
  • Prepare and operate CT scan equipment
  • Ability to position patient to capture appropriate images
  • Send images to Radiologist for interpretation/reading
  • Cleans and disinfects patient rooms
  • Follow infection control and safety guidelines

Essential Functions:

  • The Computed Tomography Technologist must demonstrate an understanding of human cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology and medical terminology.
  • The Computed Tomography Technologist must maintain a high degree of accuracy in positioning and exposure techniques.
  • Computed Tomography Technologists are the primary liaison between patients and radiologists and other members of the support team.
  • Computed Tomography Technologists use professional and ethical judgment and critical thinking when performing their duties.

MEDICAL ASSISTANTS (BUCKHEAD)

Job Summary

Assist medical/surgical staff with basic patient care to ambulatory surgical patients. May identify and greet patient, escort patient to pre-op, post-op or examination room, verify purpose of visit, take and record vital signs, observe, record and report patient condition. May operate or assist in operating various mechanical devices, transport patients via wheelchair or stretcher within the surgery center. Answer phones. Assemble medical record according to unit standard. Order and ensure Pathology tests are filed accurately (example: lab). Support the objectives and philosophy of Georgia SurgiCare LLC.

SURGICAL TECHNOLOGIST (BUCKHEAD)

Two Positions

The ideal candidate must be a team player.  He/she is in the first scrub role, handles the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure. He/she has an understanding of the procedure being performed and anticipates the needs of the surgeon. He/she has the necessary knowledge and ability to ensure quality patient care during the operative procedure and is constantly on vigil for maintenance of the sterile field.

Preoperative Duties are as follows:

Wearing the OR attire and personal protective equipment (PPE).

Gathers, checks and opens supplies and equipment needed for the surgical procedure.

Performs the surgical scrub, and donning gown and gloves.

Sets up the sterile back table and Mayo stand with instruments, supplies, equipment, and medications/solutions needed for the procedure.

Performs initial instrument, sharps and sponge counts with the circulator.

Assists the team members with gowning and gloving.

Assists with draping the patient and establishing the sterile field.

Participates in the surgical site and patient verification during the time out procedure.

Secures tubing, cords and other sterile accessories.

Intraoperative Duties are as follows:

Prepares and anticipates additional instrumentation, equipment and supplies for usage during the procedure.

Anticipates the needs of the surgeon by passing instruments and supplies to surgeon during procedure.

Measures and passes medications, hemostatic agents and irrigation solutions utilized during the surgical procedure

Holds retractors or instruments as directed by the surgeon.

Sponges or suctions the operative site.

Applies electrocautery to clamps or forceps on bleeders.

Cuts suture material as directed by the surgeon.

Coordinates the camera or changes out robotic arms/instruments during endoscopic surgery as directed by the surgeon.

Maintains highest standard of sterile technique during the procedure.

Performs additional counts as necessary.

Prepares sterile dressings and/or immobilization devices.

Prepares and passes off specimen(s) as appropriate.

Cleans and prepares instruments for terminal sterilization.

Assists other members of the team with terminal cleaning of room.

Assists in prepping the OR for the next patient.

Participates in debriefing and quality improvement practices to ensure quality patient care. 

Additional Duties:

The Surgical Technologist in the second scrub role assists the surgeon and/or surgical assistant during the operative procedure by carrying out tasks including sponging, suctioning, cutting sutures, holding retractors and manipulating the endoscopic camera. This role is distinct from that of the first scrub and surgical first assistant. The surgical technologist assisting in circulating obtains additional instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary while the surgical procedure is in progress. He/she monitors conditions in the operating room and constantly assesses the needs of the patient and surgical team.

Review the patient’s chart, identifies patient, verifies surgery to be performed with consent forms, and brings the patient to the assigned operating room.

Assists with transferring patient to the operating room table.

Monitors the comfort of the patient and provides verbal and tactile reassurance to the patient

Assists in maintaining normothermia.

Assists the anesthesia provider.

Assists with positioning the patient, using appropriate equipment and anatomical principles to avoid patient injury

Applies the electrosurgical grounding pad.

Assists with applying tourniquets and monitors before the procedure begins.

Completes the patient skin prep prior to draping by the sterile surgical team.

Performs instrument, sharps, and sponge counts with the surgical technologist in the first scrub role prior to the operation and before the incision is closed.

Anticipates additional supplies needed during the procedure.

Keeps accurate records throughout the procedure.

Properly cares for specimens.

Secures dressings after incision closure.

Helps transport the patient to the post anesthesia care unit.

Performs urinary catheterization.

Updates and keeps accurate records of the surgeon’s preference

Job Summary

This position is responsible for all insurance follow-up on assigned accounts from the leadership team. The core responsibilities of an insurance follow-up representative include research, insurance billing and adjustment identification to ensure proper account resolution. This position requires the ability to work independently, accomplish goals, excellent customer service and communication skills, creativity, patience and flexibility.

Professional Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent. A minimum of two years previous work experience as an insurance follow-up representative is required. Must have full understanding of insurance follow-up processes (i.e. Billing, Collections, Managed Care, Medicare, Medicaid and Commercial Practices), and well-developed interpersonal skills.
